There are many different gardens within the Guoyoulin (protected forest) area within the greater Yiwu region.  Whilst not all are pure gushu (100+ year old trees), trees mature differently in a deep forest and the biodiversity of the subtropical rainforest of each garden certainly affects the quality of the tea.

This production is a pick of 30-60 year-old trees that range from 5-15 metres tall.  There are smaller and younger trees on the outer edges of this garden but those are picked and produced separately.  The main varietals here are also slightly different from the usual large/broad leaf varietal more commonly found in Yiwu and instead have a longer and narrower shape.  As a collective, we've been sourcing the material for over 10 years now, and over these years we've seen the quality which has become more consistent and robust in recent years.  These trees have now certainly matured enough for me to highlight them as a standalone production, unique from our other offerings to show yet another side of Yiwu, and show that there's still more to offer than just the most well-known gushu if you are adventurous enough.

It is our philosophy to let customers experience the quality for themselves.  It is in the journey of exploring tea that one can better appreciate the qualities that one likes most and enjoy the unique pleasures of drinking high-quality Puer teas that evolve over time.
